NBR -PVC Blends
Nitrile rubber is primarily noted for its oil and chemical resistance. Oil resistance specified for the rubber products vary to a considerable extent. It is possible to use a blencl of high acrylonitrile NBR with styrene butadiene rubber to get a degree of oil resistance equal to that given by a low acrylonitrile NBli with an overall economy in cost. Products from high acrylonitrile NHIi have a tendency to shrink in contact with hot lubricating oils and replacement of a part of it by SBR overcomes this defect.
